The Encouragers journey began over 45 years ago in 1963. Traveling and performing for these many years has brought us many life-changing experiences, spiritual fulfillment, and even greater blessings. We have witnessed God’s majestic beauty in all the places we’ve been and we have come to know and love many during our course. We have experienced tremendous joy and success in doing what we love and always desired to do and through the hard times we trudged on, seeing God work many wonders and miracles in our own lives and in our ministry of music.

Our journey would never have begun without the inspiration and love of the woman who sowed the seeds and gave us direction. She is and continues to be our guiding light. Mom Kramer has not even considered retirement, but performs with other Encouragers, her son, Danny, and his wife Dee. Once traveling with a full band in the 70′s, 80′s and 90′s, the Encouragers still stage a smaller version of the band that includes Ray and Tina Edwards, and their son, Austin.

Dee and Danny Kramer are writers of many number one Gospel songs, including the Dove nominated and 1992 Song of the Year, “He’s In The Midst”. The hit song rose to the top of the charts and was performed by the former trio, the Bishops.

Though their concert tour dates are held to a minimum, the Encouragers perform mostly for the Great American Gospel television program, a national TV show hosted by Ed O’Neal and is seen all over the world.
