Great American Gospel is the creation of Gospel Media Representatives, Danny and Dee Kramer from Savannah, Georgia. With the idea for bringing an independent, high quality weekly Gospel Music program back to major television networks and Christian networks, they began building the foundation for their program in March of 2007. Partnering with Producer, David White and American Media Group, they began to assemble a production that many deemed impossible. Today, three years later, it is one the most successful international music programs playing on television.Selecting Ed O’Neal of the Dixie Melody Boys, their long-time friend and Gospel music legend himself, as the host of the show, Great American Gospel began filming onstage in Greenville, South Carolina. After months of production, the formation of the program slowly took shape and in July of 2008, was introduced to the CW, FOX and NBC major affiliates in Savannah and Columbus, Georgia. It was here in these markets after one year of programming where the show garnered Nielsen ratings for it’s weekly schedule, a rarity for any Gospel music programs.In March of 2010, the program won accolades from the National Religious Broadcasters Association and doors began to open on a national and International basis in several major cable markets. Every week now, Great American Gospel can be viewed by hundreds of millions of viewers all across America and in more than 200 countries all across the world. The music program is now carried by several networks and over 200 or more television station affiliates.
